River Rock

When water and glaciers get together, river rock is often the result. River rock comes in an amazing variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. It all depends on where it was picked and how long it was exposed to the forces of nature.

Details: From granite to basalt, every creek or river has its own signature as far as color, material and shape is concerned. A small stream at a high elevation may have coble-looking stones (some soft edges with blocky shapes) whereas a large river will produce some of the smoothest and rounded stones on earth.
